Header/Line Qualifier ‘Value From’
These fields work differently via form and via sheet. They can be one or a combination of two values.
The following will demonstrate how it works with the combinations of two values (Value & Meaning) with the colon separator between them.
Via Worksheet:
1. Creating a Modifier with a unique qualifier like Party ID
From the above scenario when you have a qualifier attribute like Party id which is unique, you need to enter the Party id (1006). Once uploaded and accepted the Party id with party name will be written back to the sheet as 1006:Computer Service and Rentals as below:
2. Creating a Modifier with a non-unique qualifier like Customer Name.
When creating a Modifier with a non-unique qualifier (like Customer Name), it is necessary to add another value (like Customer Site from above example) with colon separator in between them to find a unique combination - Alex Fong:5933 CUSTOMER.
If the value provided is not unique the Wizard will error as shown in the image below:
Error message as below:
“Header Qualifier is not unique
Multiple qualifier meaning values found. Please use the qualifier form to select an appropriate value”.
Via Header/Line Qualifier Form: When searching by value, the form will return a list of all combinations containing the given value.
In the above scenario, when searched by customer name Alex Fong, it will give you the list of all the combinations related to Alex Fong.
When the 'Value From' field is set up as a 'Date' value set field the Wizard will not show the calendar so the User needs to enter the date manually.
The Wizard does not show the calendar when the "Value From' field is set up as a ‘Date Value Set’ field so the User needs to enter the date manually.
Delete a Pricing Modifier Qualifier
If you need to delete a Pricing Qualifier for a Pricing Modifier Header or Line, simply download the existing Modifier, mark the checkbox ‘Delete Price Qualifier’ on the form or enter ‘Yes’ directly into the worksheet.
Upload the Pricing Modifier in the normal way and the Pricing Qualifier will be removed from the Pricing Modifier Header or Line.
