Enter Pricing Modifier Information
When creating a new Pricing Modifier, you must ensure that the ‘Modifier Name’ is unique otherwise the Wizard will update the existing Pricing Modifier instead of creating a new one.
When creating a new Pricing Modifier, you cannot create Qualifier Line Level records at the same time as creating the Qualifier Header level record; this is a restriction of the Oracle Modifiers API rather than the Wizard itself. When initially uploading, the Wizard will ignore the line level qualifiers, simply reload the Pricing Modifier and the line level qualifiers will be added.
When updating a Pricing Modifier, you should not remove ‘Line Modifier Number’. This is a key identifier field to update a record. If this is missing then the wizard will take it as you are creating a new record. Always download first before updating a record.
There are four ways to populate information in the worksheet:
a) Import a file, type or paste data directly into the cells provided. No validation is performed until you run the upload or open the data-entry forms.
b) Use the data-entry forms (Pricing Modifier Header, Modifier Lines, Pricing Attribute, Modifier Qualifiers form), to enter the data into the worksheet. Information is validated and lists of values are available.
c) Use the ‘Download via form’ or ‘Download using sheet data’ buttons on the ribbon, or use the ‘Custom Query’ tab to download existing Pricing Modifier(s) and associated Modifier Lines. You can then use one of the methods above to update information prior to loading into Oracle.
d) Use the ‘Defaults Values’ line in the worksheet to default a column’s value if left blank when uploading. For detailed instructions on this functionality refer to the Default Values section.
The following functions are not currently supported:
• Attachments
• Modifier Line Types: Coupon Issue
• Define Modifier Details – On the Modifier Setup form there is a ‘Define Details’ tab which holds additional product attributes. When using Pricing Modifier Wizard these details will not be downloaded into your worksheet and these details cannot be updated using the Wizard.
