Descriptive Flexfields

In this Wizard only a couple of Attribute Flexfield columns are displayed in order to reduce unnecessary clutter e.g.

Header DFF’s

Line DFF’s

Attribute DFF’s

Header Qualifier DFF’s

Line Qualifier DFF’s

Buy Product DFF’s

Get DFF’s

When you double-click on the worksheet flexfield column (or the Flexfield icon) a form will appear which will enable you to enter the ‘Context’ of the Flexfield (if applicable).  When the ‘Context’ is entered the form will determine which attributes are required.

As the worksheet does not display all attribute columns, the ones required based on the ‘Context’ entered may not be in your worksheet.  As illustrated in the example below you will receive a message for each of the ATTRRIBUTE(s) which are missing from your worksheet.

The fields will then appear grey and you will not be able to enter any details.

If this is the case you will need to close this form and using the functionality in Excel, create the appropriate columns in your worksheet by copying an existing column (e.g. ATTRIBUTE1), insert it and rename the column header (e.g. ATTRIBUTE6).  Note- There should be no space between the text and number.

Once the appropriate ATTRIBUTE column(s) have been added to your worksheet then the form displaying the fields will be enterable.

During upload the Flexfields will be validated to ensure the compulsory columns are included in your worksheet (based on the set up in your instance of Oracle).

Flexfield Icon
The  icons will only appear on your ribbon if you have configured DFFs in your system.

This functionality is common to all of our tools.
