Pricing Modifiers Wizard is run in an application mode; this is to support Pricing Modifiers for the different functional areas. The mode is determined by the responsibility selected when logging in. If the responsibility is associated with the Oracle Purchasing application, you will be running the Wizard in ‘Purchasing Mode’. You will also need access to the relevant ‘Pricing Modifier’ function on the menu (Refer to section - Security).
If you are using Oracle Applications version 11.5.9 you can only use Advanced Pricing/Order Management Mode. Purchasing Mode is not available.
The Pricing Modifiers Wizard ribbon displays what mode is currently being used with an icon.
Advanced Pricing Mode
Not set Mode – This mode indicates the User hasn’t selected a responsibility yet
Order Management Mode - Only available if Advanced Pricing is not installed
Purchasing Mode - Not available with Oracle Applications version 11.5.9
The icon will only change mode after logging in to Oracle and the Wizard functionality is the same for each application mode.
