Transaction Controls

This set of columns provides full management over Transaction Controls. You may download them into the worksheet, update them or create new ones, at both Project and Task level.

The form behaves like the Oracle form, except you select whether the control is Task level or Project Level.  If you select Task, then the control will apply to the Task on the same row (or the next task up if there is no task on the current row).

Transaction Controls only apply to top or bottom level tasks.  Note – The user can only create Transaction Controls for top or bottom Tasks with no children.

To view the Transaction Controls options, you will need to select ‘Transaction Controls’ from the ‘Wizard Mode’ list of values provided on the Project Wizard ribbon as per the screenshot below:

The ribbon will be reset to reflect the options available for Transaction Controls.

To enter Transaction Control details, double click in the ‘Transaction Controls’ section of the worksheet below row 9 or click the ‘Forms’ icon and select ‘Transaction Controls Form’ from the Project Wizard ribbon:

The following ‘Transaction Controls’ form will display:

This form is designed to help users create new or update existing Transaction Controls.
You may NOT create Transaction Controls until after the project is created.

You may NOT update Transaction Controls if the ‘TC RowID’ cell is empty.  This value is the key to the record and you will need to download the record first before you can carry out an update.  The program considers an empty ‘TC RowID’ cell to mean this is a new record.

Warning: This does NOT use an Oracle API, as none are available.  You can turn this function off by using profile options in the Oracle forms.
