Download via Form

 
The Download form is used to extract existing employee and special information from Oracle Human Resources.  This information can subsequently be modified and re-loaded back into Oracle.
 
Place your cursor on a blank row below row 10.  Data will be downloaded at this point pushing all existing rows downwards.
 
To access the form, click the ‘Download’ icon and select ‘Download via form’ option as shown below:
 
 
This opens the ‘Employee Download’ form:
 
 
Enter criteria into one or more of the filters above (Payroll, Organisation, Job, Position, Assignment Category).  Also select either Name or Number from the LOVs in the ‘Pick Search Type’ field.  Click on the ‘Search’ button.
 
The Employees that meet the criteria (as at the Effective Date on the ribbon) will be displayed in the ‘Available Employees’ list.  Highlight the Employee, using your cursor to select specific employees for download (to quickly select everyone click on the first person, hold down Ctrl, Shift and hit the End Key). 
 
Click the forward arrow ‘>’ to move ‘Available Employees’ into the 'Selected Employees' List.
 
If the ‘Include Special Information Details’ checkbox is checked, the download will include existing special information details (for the special information type listed in cell D6).  If the ‘Include Special Information Details’ is unchecked, the download will extract only the employee information.  This works the same for ‘Include Non-Active’, ‘Include Employees’ and ‘Include Contingent Workers’ checkboxes on the ‘Employee Download’ form.
 
Click on the ‘Download’ button.
 
The information will be extracted into the worksheet as at the Effective Date on the Employee Wizard ribbon.  Update these employees/contingent workers by keying directly into the fields, or by using the Special Information Form.
