Use the cursor to select the range of records you wish to upload. The columns selected are NOT important.
Choose the Create/Update option you wish to use from the Project Wizard ribbon e.g. ‘Create only’, ‘Update only’ or ‘Create & Update’.
(a)Upload Range of Records - Within a specific Section (e.g. Task, Asset etc)
Choose the ‘Upload XXXXX for the Selected Project’ button on the ‘Project Wizard’ ribbon.
(b)Upload a Range of Projects – All Sections
Make sure you have included the first line of each project to be uploaded. Project Wizard looks through the worksheet only between the top and bottom of the range you have indicated. If you have selected a range and only included the first line of the last record to be uploaded, Project Wizard will continue past the end of the selected range if necessary, to complete the last record.
Choose the ‘Upload’ icon and select ‘Upload Selected Projects’ (illustrated below) on the ‘Project Wizard’ ribbon.
Important Note:There are thirteen ribbons which hold the above button. Depending on the data which is required to be uploaded will depend on which ribbon button is selected. For example; if you select the button on the ‘Tasks’ ribbon ONLY the tasks on the row(s) selected will be uploaded. To upload all sections for a Project indicated by your cursor position, select the above button on the ‘Project Wizard’ ribbon.
Note- However this will not upload the Asset or Asset Assignment records. This will have to be done using the ‘Asset’ and/or ‘Asset Assignment’ ribbons.
