Project Wizard Ribbon

 
The following table provides a quick reference to the Project Wizard Ribbon and its functions.  This ribbon changes as to which Wizard Mode is selected.
 
 
 
Icon
Description/Functionality
 
Logout
 
 
This will log you out of the Application (terminate your Oracle database connection).
 
About
 
 
Displays product and package version information along with licencing and usage data. 
 
You need to click on this button to load a new Licence Key, Modify/add a user of the Wizard or ‘View Usage’.
 
Refer to the Common User Topics documentation for more information.
 
 
Show/Hide Login Info
 
 
This button toggles the display of the ‘Login Info’ information on the ribbon.
 
 
Select Template
 
 
 
A form to select a project template for the new project will display.   When using this form you can make use of the ‘Lists of Values’ and other validation as you are entering data.
 
Double clicking in the worksheet in the ‘Template’ section will give the same result.
 
 
Project Header
Form
 
 
 
A form to enter the Project Header information will display.  You do not have to use this form, you can copy and paste or key directly into the cells of the worksheet if you prefer.
 
If you do use this form, you can make use of the ‘Lists of Values’ and other validation as you are entering data.
 
Double clicking in the worksheet in the ‘Project Header’ section will give the same result.
 
 
Key Members Form
 
 
 
A form to enter Key Member information will display.  You do not have to use this form, you can copy and paste or key directly into the cells of the worksheet if you prefer.
 
If you do use this form, you can make use of the ‘Lists of Values’ and other validation as you are entering data.
 
Double clicking in the worksheet in the ‘Key Members’ section will give the same result.
 
 
Classifications Form
 
 
 
A form to enter Classifications information will display.  You do not have to use this form, you can copy and paste or key directly into the cells of the worksheet if you prefer.
 
If you do use this form, you can make use of the ‘Lists of Values’ and other validation as you are entering data.
 
Double clicking in the worksheet in the ‘Classifications’ section will give the same result.
 
 
Tasks Form
 
 
 
A form to enter the Task information will display. You do not have to use this form, you can copy and paste or key directly into the cells of the worksheet if you prefer.
 
If you use this form, you can make use of the ‘Lists of Values’ and other validation as you are entering data.
 
Double clicking in the worksheet in the ‘Tasks’ section will give the same result.
 
 
Attachments Form
 
 
 
A form will open to enable an attachment to be entered against the current Project.
 
If you use this form, you can make use of the ‘Lists of Values’ and other validation as you are entering data.
 
Double-clicking in the worksheet in the ‘Project Header Attachments’ section will give the same result.
 
 
Project DFF
 
 
 
A form will open to enter the Project Descriptive Flexfield information.
 
You do not have to use this form, you can copy and paste or key directly into the fields if you prefer.
 
 
Classifications DFF
 
 
 
A form will open to enter the Classifications Descriptive Flexfield information.
 
You do not have to use this form, you can copy and paste or key directly into the fields if you prefer.
 
Tasks DFF
 
 
 
A form will open to enter the Tasks Descriptive Flexfield information.
 
You do not have to use this form, you can copy and paste or key directly into the fields if you prefer.
 
 
New Sheet
 
 
 
A drop-down list will allow you to choose one of fifteen worksheet templates.  These are: All Columns, Assets & Assignments, Billing Assignments, Billing Overrides, Classifications, Cost Codes, Customers, Deliverables, Deliverable Actions, Key Members, Program Links, Project Header, Planning Resources, Tasks and Transaction Controls.
 
A new worksheet will be created based on the master template sheet and will only show columns that are relevant for data entry.
 
 
Create Options
 
 
 
A form to choose load options will display which is only applicable to new projects.
 
 
Wizard Mode
 
 
 
This option enables the user to select the appropriate Wizard Mode/Ribbon if the one required is not displayed. 
 
Once one of the options is selected then the ribbon will reset itself to provide the appropriate icons.
 
 
Create/Update Options
 
 
 
Choose whether to ‘Create Only’, ‘Update Only’ or ‘Create & Update’ when uploading lines into the Oracle Projects.
 
This selection is used in conjunction with the ‘Upload Selected Projects’ icon and the ‘Upload all Projects’ icon (below).
 
 
Clear Status Columns
 
 
 
This icon enables you to clear the selected status column information from the worksheet.
 
This is helpful if you have downloaded an existing record and would like to clear the selected Status Columns to enable you to use this as a template to create a new record.
 
 
Attachments
 
 
 
Allows users to Upload Selected Attachments or All Attachments to Oracle.
 
 
Upload Selected Projects
 
 
 
The selected projects (as indicated by the cursor) will be validated/loaded into Oracle Projects.
 
 
Upload All Projects
 
 
 
All projects in the worksheet (that have not already been processed) will be validated/loaded into Oracle Projects.
 
 
Download via Form
 
 
 
A form will open that will enable you to choose criteria to download Project information into the worksheet.

Delete Selected Project
 
 
 
This button will enable you to delete Projects from Oracle Projects indicated by cursor position.
 
Logging
 
 
 
Click the ‘Logging’ button before upload and a new worksheet will record all actions taken by the Wizard.  This new worksheet will be labelled ‘M4A – Query Log’ and will hold all upload information. 
 
This is helpful for support to ensure that More4apps has all the information required to resolve your issue.
 
 
Help
 
 
 
Click this icon for help on the functionality of this Wizard.
