In the UDA Items mode, you are able to download an Item UDA physical item attribute and are able to Create, Update or Delete the attributes.
Item Wizard only supports Item and Item Organization Business Entities level UDA’s. Other Business Entities levels are not supported.
Note - The Wizard only supports UDA’s in R12 and does not support in 11i. UDA Items mode does not support the $SYSDATE$ defaulting functionality.
This mode has two sections:
· The ‘Items’ section is used to designate the item you are updating.
· The ‘Item Catalog UDA’ section will be used to designate the UDAs you are updating/adding/deleting to that item.
Further information:
1. For multiline UDA’s, the Wizard does not support updating the unique key attribute because of API limitation. The unique key attribute can be updated from the Oracle Form. There can be more than one unique key attribute in one UDA Group. The work around for this situation is to delete the UDA record and create a new UDA record with a new unique key.
2. When downloading a UDA Group containing a UDA which has been disabled and contains data, the Wizard will download the data of the disabled UDA because the data exists in the Oracle database. The disabled UDA cannot be uploaded by the Wizard. The work around for this condition is to remove the disabled UDA data from the columns or delete the columns from the worksheet. Removing the data or deleting the columns of a disabled UDA will not remove the data from the Oracle data base.
3. On our system when Filtering download by Organization, Item and UDA group the Item Wizard will time out when download contains more than 3000 records. Hence there is an imitation of 3000 records per download when filtering by Organization, Item and UDA group. This limitation could be different for different systems.

Items Form
The Items user form in this mode is used to enter information into the worksheet and validate the information.
To open the user form, double-click in a cell in the Items section, on the row you wish to populate the category data (must be below row 10).
The following is an example of the Items user form:
The fields displayed are the columns that were on the active sheet when the Wizard was initialized. You can enter data directly into the form and use the list of values supplied. Ensure to select an Organization and search for an Item you wish to load.
Item Catalog UDA Form
As mentioned in the section above, to open the Item Catalog UDA form, double-click in a cell in the Item Catalog UDA section on the row you wish to populate the Catalog UDA attributes data (must be below row 10).
This form is used to enter the Item Catalog UDA information for the item. An example of the form can be seen below:
If previously you downloaded your UDA Categories first (See the Download Item Catalog UDA section) and there are some attributes you wish to load, enter the Item UDA attributes for upload.
When these are populated along with the Item from the previous section the record can be uploaded.
