Descriptive Flexfields

In this Wizard only ‘Task Attribute1’ and ‘Task Attribute10’ for Flexfield columns are displayed in order to reduce unnecessary clutter.

Double-click on the worksheet flexfield column and a form will appear which will enable you to enter the ‘Context’ of the Flexfield.  When the ‘Context’ is entered the form will determine which attributes are required.  Alternatively you can click on the DFF’s icon from the ribbon and make your selection from the lists of values:

As the worksheet does not display all attribute columns, the ones required based on the ‘Context’ entered may not be in your worksheet.  As illustrated in the example below the ATTRIBUTE(s) which are not in your worksheet will appear grey and you will not be able to enter any details.

If this is the case you will need to close this form and manually create the appropriate columns in your worksheet by copying an existing column (e.g. ATTRIBUTE1), insert it and rename the column header (e.g. ATTRIBUTE4).  Note - There should be no space between the text and number.

Once the appropriate ATTRIBUTE column(s) have been added to your worksheet when the form displays, the fields will be enterable.

During upload the Flexfields will be validated to ensure the compulsory columns are included in your worksheet (based on the set up in your instance of Oracle).
