Modify an Existing Price ListWhen modifying an existing Price List please note the following:
Header Qualifiers
You cannot modify an existing Qualifier the Wizard will create a new record. End date the existing record and create a new record on your worksheet. Use the Validate Option of ‘Validate and Upload’.
Secondary Price List
You cannot modify an existing Secondary price list the Wizard will create a new secondary price list. Delete the existing secondary price list by entering a ‘Yes’ in the ‘Delete Sec Price List’ column.
Lines
The Price List Wizard (PLW) now uses a combination of the following fields to uniquely identify a record for updates:
· Price List Header
· Product Value
· List Type Code
· Start Date
· Unit of Measure (UOM)
If any of these fields differ, the following error will appear: "Cannot derive List Line ID. Please download the Price List."
In such cases, you must first download the price list before update.
While it is possible to change a value directly, we recommend using the ‘Create New Record Value’ field to maintain pricing history integrity. To do this:
1. Provide an end date for the current list line.
2. Enter the new value in the ‘Create New Record Value’ field.
Upon upload, the Wizard will automatically:
· End-date the existing list line.
· Create a new list line with the updated value.
· Set the start date of the new line to one day after the end date of the previous line.
This approach ensures a clean transition and preserves historical pricing data.
Line Attributes

Line Price Breaks
