UOM Intra-class

When it comes to using UOM Intra-class mode, it is using direct table insert. Unfortunately, there isn't an Oracle API available for this mode, so users will need to be extra diligent in testing before making the move to the production environment.

Unit of Measure Conversions are numerical factors that enable you to perform transactions in units other than the primary unit (UOM) of the item being transacted.

Requirements:
Set the profile ‘More4Apps: IEW Activate Intra-class UOM Conversion Mode’ to "Yes".
Refer to: Profile Options below.
Note that this is using a direct table insert into the Oracle tables and is not supported by Oracle.

Rules and Exceptions:
Unit of measure conversions are not Organization-specific.
You must define a conversion between a non-base unit of measure and the base unit of measure before you can assign the non-base unit of measure to an item.
Conversions can only be positive numbers and cannot be updated.
All dimensions can only be positive numbers.
This is a one-to-many relationship, where one item can have many Intra-class conversions for a specific item number and a non-base UOM.
Duplicates are not allowed.

Functionality Type:
This Load Type can only be used to create the Intra-class UOM conversion. However you can update the Dimension UOM and Dimension values.
Notes:
1.    The Upload Action (Create, Update) is determined by the Item Number/Source UOM combination. i.e. If it exists the action will be Update, if it does not exist the action will be Create.
2.    Attempts to update/change the Source UOM for an Item will result in a new record being created.

User Form Layout:

Spreadsheet Data Columns:

Item Number – Item must exist in the inventory Organization.
Source UOM – Only existing units of measure can be used.
Source Class – Read only field.
Conversion – Must be a positive number.
Base UOM – Read only field.
Dimensions – UOM Length, UOM Width, UOM Height
If one is entered or the Dimension UOM is entered then all these fields require a value.  Values must be positive, however Zero ‘0’ is allowed.
Dimension UOM – These are totally independent of the UOM conversion factor and can be any class.
