When it comes to using Container Items mode, it is using direct table insert. Unfortunately, there isn't Oracle API available for this mode, so users will need to be extra diligent in testing before making the move to the production environment.
Requirements:
Set the profile ‘More4Apps: IEW Activate Container Items Mode’ to "Yes". Note that this is using a direct table insert into the Oracle tables and is not supported by Oracle.
To be able to assign container items with inventory items. You can define the relationship between container items and load items to specify which and how many items can be contained within other items. Container items are items that can contain other items. Load items are items that can be loaded into a container. Since a container item can be loaded into another container, a container item can also be a Load item.
Rules and Exceptions:
Container items can be setup at child organization level.
You can only have one primary preferred container item combination.
Functionality Type:
This Load Type allows you to create, update, and delete container item and inventory item relationships.
User Form Layout:
Spreadsheet Data Columns:
•Organization Code.
•Item Number – Itemmust exist in the inventory Organization.
•Container Item Upload Action – Determine the Upload Action (Create, Delete) for the row.
•Container Item – Item must exist in the inventory Organization.
•Container Type – Read only field.
•Preferred Flag – Can only be assigned to an inventory item once for any container.
