UOM Inter-class

When it comes to using UOM Inter-class mode, it is using direct table insert. Unfortunately, there isn't Oracle API available for this mode, so users will need to be extra diligent in testing before making the move to the production environment.

Requirements:
Set the profile ‘More4Apps: IEW Activate Inter-class UOM Conversion Mode’ to "Yes". Note that this is using a direct table insert into the Oracle tables and is not supported by Oracle.

Rules and Exceptions:
‘Disable Date’ must be a future date.

Functionality Type:
This functionality is used to dictate unit of measure conversions for an organization and inventory item.  The conversion rate dictates what quantity of a unit of measure is derived compared to the quantity of another unit of measure.  A simple example is that it can be used to track how many LBS of product is produced when 100KG is recorded as produced by manufacturing.  It is very useful when a product is bought and sold using different units of measure (e.g. Bought as KG, stored in inventory as Ea, sold as LBS).

Spreadsheet Data Columns:

Destination Unit - The unit of measure that the primary unit of measure for the item can convert to (e.g. KG to LBS).
Destination Class - Derived from the destination unit of measure (Read Only field).
Conversion - Multiplier used in the conversion formula to determine the destination unit of measure quantity that will be converted from the source unit of measure quantity (e.g. 1KG = 2.20462 LBS).
Source Unit - Derived from the item’s primary unit of measure (Read Only field).
Source Class - Derived from the item’s primary unit of measure (Read Only field).
Disable Date - Used to disable the conversion after a particular future date.
