When it comes to using Safety Stock mode, it is using direct table insert. Unfortunately, there isn't Oracle API available for this mode, so users will need to be extra diligent in testing before making the move to the production environment.
Requirements:
Set the profile ‘More4Apps: IEW Activate Safety Stock Mode’ to "Yes". Note that this is using a direct table insert into the Oracle tables and is not supported by Oracle.
Rules and Exceptions:
Effective Date must be a future date.
Functionality Type:
Able to assign safety stock rules to items within each organization.

•Safety Stock Effective Date - Dictates a future date when this safety stock rule will be implemented.
•Safety Stock Quantity - The minimum safety stock allowed for MRP planning.
•Safety Stock New Quantity - This field is for updating any existing Safety Stock Quantity.
•Delete Safety Stock - Yes/No flag to prompt deletion of safety stock rule.
•Safety Stock Method - Derived by the Item Number (Read Only field).
•Safety Stock Forecast - Derived by the Item Number (Read Only field).
•Safety Stock Percent - Derived by the Item Number (Read Only field).
•Safety Stock Service Level - Derived by the Item Number (Read Only field).
