To enter data into the Journal Lines, position your cursor on the row you wish to enter the journal line data, then double-click in one of the cells, or alternatively click on the ‘Form’ icon and select ‘Actuals Line’.
The ‘Actuals Line’ form will open:
•Account - You can choose the account segments or an alias (a shortened name for an account combination, as set up in your Oracle environment).
When entering an account directly, key the account combination into the cell and tab, the value will be validated. To get a list of values enter %, then click the … button and select from the LOV’s.
•Entered Debit/Credit - Enter your actual amounts into these fields for the journal currency.
•Accounted Debit/Credit - Enter your actual accounted amounts into these fields for the journal currency if they differ to the entered debit/credit amounts.
These will default to the entered debit/credit amounts during upload if left blank.
•Stat Quantity (Actuals only) - Only available if the account has a Unit of Measure assigned to it and other conditions are met. See theHow to Enter Mixed Journalssection below for more information.
•Line Description - Optional free format text field.
•USSGL Trx Code – This field is enabled if you have the Oracle Profile ‘Enable Transaction Code’ set to Yes.
•Line Reference Fields 1-10 - Available in the sheet but not in the data entry form.
•Unit of Measure (Actuals only) - Display only field applicable to mixed journals.
