Encumbrances
Encumbrances are a way of recording planned expenditure. The Encumbrance year you are wishing to post to in Oracle needs to be open.
In the Wizard, Encumbrances has its own mode, along with specific columns relating to the entry of Encumbrance journals. These journals are entered the same way as Actuals. There are only a few more columns that are available to enter data into for example; Encumbrance Type, Reconciliation Reference. These columns will be available if the Encumbrance mode is selected.
