Attachments

 
Bill of Materials Wizard enables the loading of Attachments against your bill of materials.  Every mode in Bill of Materials Wizard can load attachments.  Each mode will load the attachments against the bill applicable in the respective mode.
 
Below are the functional attributes for each section and its corresponding mode.

To enable this functionality, you must have the ‘Attachment’ section displayed in your worksheet.
 
 
To open the ‘Attachments’ form there are two options:
 
With cursor on the same row as the Bill header data:
 
·         Double-click to open the Attachments form.
 
·         Click the ‘Forms’ icon on the ribbon and select ‘Header Attachments’.
 
 
Attach Sequence - An optional field that can be populated with a numeric value. If one is not specified, the Wizard will default on the next available sequence based on the current EBS sequence values.
 
Attach Title - An optional field only available in R12, this can be used to load a title against the attachment.
 
Attach Type - Select either one of the following:
 
       Short text – Text attachments of 3999 characters or less.
 
       Long Text – Text based attachments of 4000 or greater.
 
       Web Page – Allows the user to specify a URL to be attached against the bill.
 
       File – To upload a file based attachment, use the ‘…’ icon to search your directories and find the file.  Alternatively, type the path and filename directly into the field.  Click on the ‘View Document’ button to check that the file can be successfully opened.
 
Attach Category - Select the category of the attachment.
 
Attach Description -  Optional text field.
 
Attach Content - This will change based on the Attachment Type.
 
When all data is entered click the ‘Upload Now’ button. This will load the Attachment, or you can click the ‘Ok’ button to print the data to the sheet.
 
Alternatively, you could key the attachment information directly into the worksheet.
 
 
To upload attachments, click the ‘Attachments’ icon and select ‘Upload All Attachments’ to upload all attachment data on the sheet or the ‘Upload Selected Attachments’ to load only the records that are highlighted by the cursor.
