Receipt Form - ‘Adjustment’ Mode

This function is used to create Adjustments against transactions as an independent process i.e. No receipt is being applied.

Below are some examples of the minimum data required to perform an Adjustment:

The Wizard does not automatically populate the ‘Adj Amount’ field for an Invoice Adjustment transaction.  Therefore, one recommended method of creating such an Adjustment is to download the invoice to be adjusted into a worksheet and then populate the required fields using the Adjustment form, leaving the ‘Adj Amount’ blank.  A formula can then be used in the Wizard to populate the ‘Adj Amount’ field based on the value in the downloaded ‘Outstanding Balance’ field.

Note:  When downloading transactions in Adjustment mode, any existing adjustments will be downloaded.  To prevent these from being uploaded a second time, the Wizard will error these lines as they will already contain an adjustment number.  See the following example:

Miscellaneous Distribution Information

Miscellaneous Receipt Distributions are supported in AR Receipt Wizard using the Oracle Public API (ar_receipt_api_pub.create_misc), if your Oracle R12 instance has patch 24375569 installed.
This is also supported in in AR Receipt Wizard for 11i versions, however the Amount, Percent and Account fields are not available as patch 24375569 was not released to 11i.  The updates of the remaining Comments and DFF fields1-15 are done via direct table updates.  This is controlled by profile option ‘More4Apps: ARW Activate Misc Distribution DFF’.  This profile can be set to ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ and it determines whether DFF fields against Miscellaneous Receipts distributions should be uploaded and downloaded.
Note:  Depending on your Wizard version, this profile option name may have changed to ‘More4Apps: ARW Create Misc Distribution DFFs via table update’.

To open the form, firstly position your cursor on the row you wish to contain the Receipt data.  Then either double-click in one of the ‘Miscellaneous
Distributions’ cells or click on the ‘Forms’ icon and select ‘Misc Distributions’ as illustrated below:

This functionality is only available in ‘Create’ mode.  If you have for example ‘Apply’ mode selected and are using the corresponding template, the message ‘Section: Misc Distributions does not exist’ will present if ‘Misc Distributions’ is selected from the ‘Forms’ dropdown.
