The Download Settings Form allows you to set download parameters that are used for both ‘Download via Form’ and ‘Download using Sheet Data’ downloads.
Need to remain set across different database sessions and even when the Wizard is closed.
Each Wizard will vary with what parameters are available.
To open the Download Settings Form, select the ‘Download Settings’ icon on the Routing Wizard’ Ribbon.
The following form will display:
The table below shows the default settings for the Download Settings Form parameters.

The Routing Wizard inserts the current date/time at Login and will retain that date/time for the entire session unless changed.
You can select a Date/Time using the calendar or enter manually in the appropriate format.
If you choose to blank this field the Routing Wizard will use the current date/time at each download.

1. Display Option - This works in conjunction with the ‘Effective Date’ field and allows you to filter the download based on Current, Current And Future, or All.
2. Effective Date - This works in conjunction with the ‘Display Option’ and allows you to restrict the download to Routings/Revisions/Operations that are active according to the ‘Display Option’ selected, at the Effective Date date/time selected.
3. Incl NON BOM Enabled Routings – Allows you to download and view Routings where the Item is no longer BOM enabled.
4. Incl Common Operations – Allows you to download and view the Operations and Resources of a Common Routing.
5. Incl Std Op Resources – Allows you to download and view Resources for Standard Operations.
6. Incl Referenced Op Resources – Allows you download and view Resources referenced to an Operation.
7. Cost Type – Allows you to select the Cost Type you wish to download and view.
8. Sheet Filter Batch Size – Allows you to break a large download into “Batches” of your nominated size to avoid timeouts. We do not recommend using this setting unless timeouts have occurred.
Session Based Filters
These fields, denoted by * on the Download Settings Form, are designed to set their value at Login.
The Effective Date field is set to the current date/time at each Login. This date/time will hold for the entire session, which means until Logout or loss of connection with the database.
It can be changed by the user at any time.
The Effective Date field is currently the only Session Based field.
Sheet Filter Batch Size
This setting can be utilized in the scenario where downloading using sheet filters is timing out.
We do not recommend using this setting unless timeouts have occurred.
By setting this value, it will ‘Batch’ your download criteria based on the value you have set. This setting will have no value by default.
As a small-scale example, the following image depicts 18 row filters:
By providing a ‘Sheet Filter Batch Size’ of ‘10’, the download will use the first 10 filter records and populate the sheet with resulting data, then proceed to use the remaining 8 filters to download the next set of data.
Recommendation: Use only when timeouts are occurring, we suggest setting this value to 200. Results may vary depending on your number or filters and where in the data structure they reside. If timeouts still occur, reduce the batch size and reattempt the download.
Warning: When using the ‘Sheet Filter Batch Size’ setting, duplicates may be returned. We recommend using the 'Denormalize' ribbon option on your downloaded data, sorting the sheet contents, then use the 'Normalize' ribbon option action to remove any duplicates.
There are three methods provided by Routing Wizard to download existing information into your worksheet from Oracle:
• Method 1 - Use a Download Form which provides multiple criteria for you to target the required Routings.
• Method 2 - Use the Download using Sheet Data option and enter multiple criteria into your worksheet to download based on the data entered.
• Method 3 – Use the Custom Query Tab. This feature allows users to run pre-defined queries created by their Administrators where they are assigned to the same Oracle Responsibility being used in the Wizard.
Each method will return data depending on the criteria entered. This provides the ability to download existing routing information into the Wizard worksheet. Information can then be modified to create new routing records or update existing routing records.
