Batch Source - CreditThe Credit Memo API mostly uses derived information from the transaction to be credited. This also applies to the Batch Source ‘Automatic Transaction Numbering’ selection.
![]() The Batch Source itself can be different, but the credit memo being created must have the same ‘Automatic Transaction Numbering’ selection as the transaction being credited or an error will be returned.
In the example below the transaction being credited used a batch source where ‘Automatic Transaction Numbering’ was enabled. An Applied Credit Memo was created for the transaction using a batch source where ‘Automatic Transaction Numbering’ was not enabled.
The resulting error message "The transaction number is populated when automatic numbering is selected on the transaction batch source." is presented and the Credit Memo creation is aborted.
![]() A Batch Source must be entered in cell B6 for each worksheet. Double-click and choose the appropriate value from the List of Values:
![]() If this is not populated the following message will appear when performing any actions that require Oracle to be called:
![]() You can then select the appropriate Batch Source and continue.
By default, all Transaction Batch Sources are displayed in either the ‘Batch Source Name’ List or the ‘Batch Source’ pop-up dialogue as illustrated below:
![]() ![]() Auto Invoice Options do not apply as transactions are created using APIs; therefore there is no requirement to run the 'AutoInvoice' concurrent program.
![]() Any Sales Credit or Revenue Account settings are irrelevant as The Oracle API ignores this information for Applied Credit Memos.
