In Quotation mode, there are two sourcing rule name fields: ‘Existing Sourcing Rule Name’ and ‘New Sourcing Rule Name’. This allows you to update an existing rule or create a new one.
In Blanket Purchase Agreement mode, only the field ‘Existing Sourcing Rule Name’ is available. The program ‘Generate Sourcing Rules and ASLs from Blanket Agreements’ uses the following naming convention for the sourcing rule name, “PURCH_” concatenated with the sourcing rule id (eg 50214) for new sourcing rules.
If you are creating Inventory Organization specific sourcing rules and wish to reuse the same name for each inventory organization then specify the name in the ‘Existing Sourcing Rule Name’ column.
