Validate Option
When uploading Resource Overhead Associations to Oracle, first select a ‘Validate Option’ of ‘Validate and Upload’ or ‘Validate only’ from the ribbon. You can choose to upload a single, a range, or all process costs.
Using the ‘Validate only’ option will confirm the data on the sheet is correct without uploading the data afterwards, this is a means of verifying correct data before upload.
The ‘Validate and Upload’ option will perform as the ‘Validate only’ does, however if the data passes validation, the Wizard will then attempt to upload the data into Oracle.
Note – Some scenarios of data validation are handled by Oracle, so it is possible error messages may come back from Oracle if the data is not correct.
